Includes Corporate Disclosure Requirements and Protections for Woman's Right to Choose

PROTECTING CHOICE

     AB 797 – Protects a woman’s right to choose by making physicians, employees, volunteers and patients at reproductive health clinics eligible to join California’s “Safe at Home” program, offering them address confidentiality and a shield from anti-choice extremists. 

ENSURING CORPORATE REPSONSIBILITY

      AB 55 –An Investors Bill of Rights that increases disclosure in filings with the Secretary of State, giving investors and consumers the opportunity to make informed decisions about potential investments.

     AB 2578 – In response to the unethical conduct of Perot Systems, criminalizes the sale of California’s proprietary information for commercial gain.

PROTECTING THE INTEGRITY OF CALIFORNIA’S ELECTIONS
INCREASING PARTICIPATION AND TURNOUT

     AB 2832 – Publicizes the Secretary of State’s voter fraud hotline; cracks down on signature gatherers who sell voter information; creates a uniform standard for use of the state’s voter file.

     ACR 190 – Resolution support of youth participation in the electoral process.
    
DEFENDING CALIFORNIA’S WORKERS

     AB2895 – Protects workers’ First Amendment right to free speech by codifying that all employees have the right to discuss their working conditions without fear of reprisal.

     AB 2816 – Eliminates a loophole that allowed temporary agencies to skirt workers compensation insurance rate increases.
